Volcano

Made from Italian briar with a red swirl ebonite stem and mammoth ivory shank ring. My version of the traditional tobacco pipe shape. Despite my hesitation to try to this design, I love how this pipe turned out. The rough texture of the sandblast gives a great contrast to the smooth undulating bottom which shows the beautiful birdseye grain of the briar. The curve of the bottom flows well into the curve of the shank and the dark mahogany color helps highlight the luminous beauty of the ancient ivory.
